Bangladesh

Bangladesh lies across the vast Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna delta, where rivers and smaller waterways cross broad, low-lying plains. The Bay of Bengal shapes its southern coast, including the mangrove forests and tidal channels of the Sundarbans. In the southeast, the hills around Chattogram rise above the plains, adding wooded slopes, valleys, and lakes to a landscape otherwise defined mainly by water and fertile delta land.
