Bahrain

Bahrain is an archipelago in the Persian Gulf, close to the eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. The largest island is mostly low and flat, with a limestone ridge rising at Jabal ad Dukhan near its centre. Shallow bays, tidal flats, and smaller islands shape the coastline, while the interior is largely dry and open and date palms grow in the greener north.
