Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is an island in the Indian Ocean, just southeast of India's southern tip. A central highland region rises around peaks such as Pidurutalagala and gives way to broad plains, rivers, lagoons, and long stretches of coast. Rainforest covers parts of the southwest, while drier plains, forests, and wetlands extend across much of the north and east.
