Oman

Oman lies on the southeastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula, with a long coastline facing the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman. The Hajar Mountains rise sharply in the north, above gravel plains, deep wadis, and stretches of desert that extend into the Empty Quarter. In the south, Dhofar’s mountains and coastal plain receive seasonal monsoon mist, creating a greener landscape around Salalah.
