Yemen

Yemen lies at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula, with coastlines along the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Arabian Sea. In the west, the flat Tihama coastal plain rises sharply into high mountains and broad upland basins, before the land slopes east towards arid plateaus and desert. The country also includes the Socotra archipelago, known for its limestone landscapes and distinctive plant life.
