Switzerland

Switzerland lies in Central Europe, with the Alps covering much of the south and the Jura Mountains running along the northwest. Between them, the Swiss Plateau contains many of the country’s towns, farmland, and lakes, including Lake Geneva and Lake Constance. Glaciers and mountain passes shape the high valleys, while rivers such as the Rhine and Rhône begin in or flow through the country.
