Sweden

Sweden extends along the Scandinavian Peninsula, from the Baltic coast and southern lowlands to mountains and tundra above the Arctic Circle. Much of the country is covered by forests and lakes, including Vänern and Vättern, while thousands of islands form archipelagos off Stockholm and Gothenburg. The Scandinavian Mountains follow its western edge, and rivers cross the northern forests towards the Gulf of Bothnia.
