Airpult ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Samuenti GmbH, a company registered in Cham, Switzerland (CHE-391.615.958). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have. It applies to all users of the Airpult website, app, and API.
Information We Collect
Account Information
Name and email address, used to create and manage your account. Email is encrypted at rest.
Authentication
Password hash, passkey credentials, or Google OAuth link, depending on how you sign in.
Location Preferences
Saved locations and your current location preference, used to show you relevant weather data.
Allergy Preferences
Optional allergy settings you provide, used to show pollen and air quality insights relevant to you.
Payment Information
Processed securely by Mollie. We do not store your card details on our servers.
Technical Data
IP address, user agent, and session data, collected automatically for security and service delivery.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to provide and operate Airpult: creating your account, authenticating you, delivering weather forecasts and air quality data, processing subscription payments, sending transactional emails, and personalizing your experience based on your saved locations and preferences. We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases as defined by GDPR Article 6:
Contract
Account creation, authentication, delivering weather services, and processing subscriptions.
Consent
Optional features like allergy tracking, push notifications, and personalized advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate Interest
Security measures, anonymous analytics, and service improvements.
Third-Party Providers
We share data with the following providers only as necessary to operate our service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Mollie
Payment processingWhen you subscribe to a paid plan, your billing information is passed to Mollie for payment processing. Card details never touch our servers.
Google OAuth
AuthenticationIf you sign in with Google, your name and email are shared during authentication. Only happens if you actively choose Google sign-in.
Google AdSense
AdvertisingDisplays advertisements on Airpult. May use cookies to serve ads based on browsing activity. Personalized ads in the EU require your consent.
Scaleway
Email deliveryYour email address is shared with Scaleway when we send transactional emails like account verification and password resets.
Hetzner
HostingAll servers are hosted by Hetzner. Your personal data is stored on their infrastructure within the EU.
Bunny CDN
Content deliveryContent is delivered through Bunny CDN. Your IP address is processed during delivery.
Cookies & Advertising
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We also use a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track you across websites.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. In the EU, personalized ads are only shown with your consent. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your Google Ads settings or by visiting aboutads.info.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated personal data is permanently deleted immediately. We do not retain personal data after account deletion.
Security
All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. Sensitive personal data, including email addresses, is encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment details are handled entirely by Mollie and never touch our servers. Access to personal data is restricted to essential personnel only.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you have the following rights:
- Access Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure Request deletion of your personal data. Deleting your account does this automatically.
- Restriction Request that we limit how we process your data.
- Portability Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Switzerland. For users in the European Union, the GDPR applies in addition to Swiss law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of Airpult after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
