Tanzania

Tanzania lies in East Africa, with a long Indian Ocean coastline and the islands of Zanzibar just offshore. Mount Kilimanjaro rises in the northeast, while the Serengeti’s open plains stretch across the north and branches of the East African Rift shape the interior. The country also borders three of Africa’s largest lakes: Victoria, Tanganyika, and Nyasa.
