South Africa

South Africa occupies the southern end of the African continent, with a long coastline meeting both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Much of the interior lies on a high plateau, bordered in the east by the Great Escarpment and the Drakensberg mountains. Its landscapes include the dry Kalahari, the grasslands of the Highveld, the Cape's rugged mountains, and the distinctive flat summit of Table Mountain.
