Costa Rica

Costa Rica lies in Central America between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, with coastlines on both sides of the country. A chain of volcanic mountains runs through its centre, including Poás and Irazú, while broad lowlands extend towards the coasts. Its landscapes include tropical rainforests, high-altitude cloud forests, mangroves, beaches, and the rugged Nicoya and Osa peninsulas.
