Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa, where much of the terrain forms a broad, gently rolling plateau. The drier Sahel stretches across the north, while wooded savanna and greener valleys become more common farther south. Rivers including the Black Volta, White Volta, and Red Volta flow through parts of the country, and the sandstone cliffs and waterfalls around Banfora shape its more rugged southwest.
