Gabon

Gabon lies on the Atlantic coast of Central Africa, with the Equator crossing the country. Tropical rainforest covers much of the interior, where the Ogooué River and its tributaries flow towards a coast of lagoons, mangroves, and sandy beaches. The landscape also includes the Crystal Mountains in the northwest, the Chaillu Massif farther south, and open savannas along parts of the coast.
