Equatorial Guinea

Equatorial Guinea includes a mainland region on the west coast of Central Africa and several islands in the Gulf of Guinea. Tropical forest covers much of the mainland, where rivers cross low hills and coastal plains. Bioko is a volcanic island dominated by Pico Basile, the country’s highest peak, while the smaller island of Annobón rises from the Atlantic farther southwest.
