Libya

Libya lies in North Africa, with a long Mediterranean coast and a vast interior that forms part of the Sahara. Much of the landscape is made up of gravel plains, sand seas, rocky plateaus, and isolated oases, while the greener Jebel Akhdar rises near the northeast coast. Farther south, the Acacus Mountains are known for sandstone cliffs, arches, and deeply cut valleys.
