Madagascar

Madagascar lies in the Indian Ocean off the southeastern coast of Africa and is the world’s fourth-largest island. A mountainous central plateau gives way to eastern rainforests, western dry forests, and long stretches of coastline. Its isolated landscapes support wildlife found nowhere else, while the limestone pinnacles of Tsingy de Bemaraha and the baobab-lined plains of the west are among its best-known natural landmarks.
