Mozambique

Mozambique stretches along the Indian Ocean in southeastern Africa, with a long coastline facing the Mozambique Channel. Broad coastal plains rise towards plateaus and mountains inland, while the Zambezi crosses the centre of the country on its way to the sea. Offshore, the Bazaruto and Quirimbas archipelagos include coral reefs, sandy islands, and lagoons, while the northwestern highlands reach the shores of Lake Malawi.
