Senegal

Senegal lies on the Atlantic coast of West Africa, where the broad Senegal River valley meets the dry landscapes of the Sahel. Much of the country is low and gently rolling, with sandy plains, wetlands, and a long coastline that curves around the Cap-Vert Peninsula. In the south, Casamance is greener and crossed by wide river channels, while the Saloum Delta is shaped by mangroves, islands, and tidal waterways.
