Somalia

Somalia occupies the eastern edge of the Horn of Africa, with a long coastline facing the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. Rugged highlands rise in the north, including the Cal Madow range, while plateaus and broad, dry plains cover much of the interior. The Jubba and Shabelle rivers cross the south, where the landscape becomes greener toward the coast.
