Antarctica

Antarctica surrounds the South Pole and is the coldest, driest, and highest continent, with nearly all of its surface covered by ice. The Transantarctic Mountains divide its main landmass, while the Antarctic Peninsula reaches north towards South America. Vast ice shelves line parts of the coast, and features such as the Ross Ice Shelf, the Weddell Sea, and Mount Erebus shape its stark southern landscape.
