Hong Kong

Hong Kong lies on the coast of the South China Sea, where a rugged peninsula and more than 250 islands meet sheltered bays and narrow channels. Steep hills and mountains cover much of the land, including Tai Mo Shan, its highest peak. The landscape also includes rocky shorelines, sandy beaches, wetlands around Deep Bay, and country parks crossed by forested ridges and valleys.
