Macao

Macao lies on the southern coast of China, where the Pearl River estuary meets the South China Sea. Its compact landscape includes the Macao Peninsula, Taipa and Coloane; reclaimed land joins the two southern areas, which are shaped by low, rounded hills. Much of the shoreline has been reshaped, while Coloane retains wooded slopes, small coves, and the area’s highest point at Alto de Coloane.
