Palestinian Territory

The Palestinian Territory has a varied landscape, from Mediterranean coastline and coastal plains to limestone hills further inland. The central highlands are cut by seasonal valleys and descend eastward toward the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Olive groves cover many of the gentler slopes, while drier terrain and exposed rock become more common toward the east and south.
