Spain

Spain occupies most of the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe, with coastlines on the Atlantic Ocean, Bay of Biscay, and Mediterranean Sea. The Pyrenees rise along the northeastern border, while the broad Meseta Central covers much of the interior and major rivers such as the Ebro and Tagus cross the country. Its territory also includes the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean and the volcanic Canary Islands in the Atlantic.
