Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands form a group of 18 volcanic islands in the North Atlantic, roughly halfway between Iceland and Norway. Steep mountains rise above narrow valleys and deep fjords, while cliffs shape much of the coastline. Slættaratindur is the highest point at 880 metres, and waterfalls, lakes, sea stacks, and sheltered sounds are found across the archipelago.
