Guernsey

Guernsey lies in the English Channel, west of Normandy, among smaller islands such as Herm, Sark and Alderney. Its northern half is relatively low and level, while the land rises towards the south into a plateau edged by steep coastal cliffs. Rocky headlands and sheltered bays shape the coast, and the tidal island of Lihou lies just off the western shore.
