Hungary

Hungary lies in Central Europe, within the broad lowlands of the Carpathian Basin. The Danube and Tisza cross the country, while the Great Hungarian Plain covers much of the east and south. Western Hungary has rolling hills and lower mountain ranges, and Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe, stretches across the Transdanubian region.
