Ireland

Ireland is an island in the North Atlantic, with a broad central plain surrounded by hills and mountains near much of the coast. The River Shannon crosses the interior, while the west is shaped by rugged peninsulas, cliffs, and countless bays. Its landscapes also include lakes, peat bogs, limestone country such as the Burren, and the Cliffs of Moher rising above the Atlantic.
