Latvia

Latvia lies on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, where the Gulf of Riga reaches deep into the country. Much of the land is flat or gently rolling, with broad forests, wetlands, lakes, and rivers including the Daugava and Gauja. Sandy beaches and dunes line much of the coast, while the Vidzeme uplands rise across the northeast.
