Montenegro

Montenegro is a small country in southeastern Europe, with an Adriatic coast shaped by rocky headlands, beaches, and the deeply indented Bay of Kotor. Inland, the land rises quickly into the Dinaric Alps, where Durmitor’s limestone peaks overlook glacial lakes and the Tara River canyon. Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans, spreads across the warmer, lower-lying south.
