Poland

Poland lies in Central Europe, with a Baltic coast in the north and the Carpathian and Sudetes mountain ranges along its southern edge. Broad plains cover much of the country, crossed by the Vistula and Oder rivers, while lake districts shape the north. The Tatra Mountains rise along the Slovak border, and Białowieża Forest preserves one of Europe’s last large areas of primeval lowland woodland.
