Saint Pierre and Miquelon

Saint Pierre and Miquelon is a small North Atlantic archipelago just south of Newfoundland. Its main islands, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon-Langlade, have rocky shores, low hills, peatlands, ponds, and sheltered bays shaped by the surrounding sea. On Miquelon-Langlade, a long sandy isthmus connects the once-separate islands of Miquelon and Langlade, beside the broad Grand Barachois lagoon.
