Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico lies in the northeastern Caribbean, with the Atlantic Ocean to the north and the Caribbean Sea to the south. The Cordillera Central crosses its mountainous interior, while coastal plains, limestone hills, and sandy beaches shape the land around it. El Yunque’s rainforest, the caves of the northern karst region, and the smaller islands of Vieques and Culebra add to its varied geography.
