Micronesia

Micronesia is made up of more than 600 islands scattered across a vast stretch of the western Pacific Ocean. These include the high volcanic islands of Pohnpei and Kosrae, the broad lagoon of Chuuk, and the islands and atolls around Yap. Coral reefs, mangrove-lined shores, forested mountains, and shallow lagoons shape much of the archipelago.
